Common Cards: The Barbarian and the Knight
As players aspire for the epic cards and legendary cards, the commons are mostly taken for granted by the many. Most of the people stop upgrading common cards once they have a bunch of epics as they place epic cards and legendary cards on the highest priority when it comes to decking. What players don’t know is that the cards have been thoroughly calculated by the creators of the game to have some balance in it. It doesn’t mean that if you have a deck full of epic cards and legendary ones would lead you to be victorious.
Yes, they wield much power but the elixir cost and the chances of acquiring them would be a burden for you. It would take a long stretch of time for you to max out the said cards. What you have to take into consideration, especially if you are a free-to-play player, is to keep upgrading your common cards. They can be obtained easily by opening chests and can be requested from your clan mates so the likelihood of you having a maxed out deck with common cards are definitely cloud high.
Among all of the common cards, the barbarians are those who top the list. Due to its versatility; being a tank, attacker, and a defensive mob, the barbarians is an all-time favorite. Their worth can be seen against tankers such as the giant, and golem as they can inflict serious damage on every blow. With their trusty short swords, they swing hard and hit the flesh of the enemies swiftly with striking force. Apart from that, they can be used as a tank. Precious attackers such as the princess and the prince must be kept guarded as they can be taken down with ease. Why would you not prefer having a tank that can’t only tank damage but can deal damage as well right? A good pushing strategy is to build up your force with a barbarian hut on the lane. That way, production of barbarians would be done in a brief period of time, as you push with your barbarians. However, the barbarians fear spells as they cannot do anything about it. Dropping a fireball on them would take their health down to close death, so you would want to deploy them once your opponent using such spell. That is, if you want to use them to push of course.
It is probably one of the underrated cards in the game as it can only attack a single target at a time. Despite that, the Knight is an enormous aid in battle. Why? Well, he is best used as a low cost tank in the game. He has health points much higher than the barbarian so if you put him up front, then it would enable you to have the upper hand. He can withstand spells too! The downside of this card is that he is weak against air attacks such as the minion and the baby dragon as it is out of his reach.
Nevertheless, common cards have quite a significant amount of value for you to grow in the game. Being low costing cards, they can be a game changer. You just have to know the proper techniques on how to use them.
