Epic Card: The Dark Prince
Starting new in the world of Clash Royale, you will find the Prince to be quite annoying when you are faced with him. Having moderate health points and the ability to charge at in coming enemies. If you have such a card, you will love playing it right away. Although he is valuable, especially when pushing since he does great damage upon enemy structures as well, he is weak against mobs or those hordes. Him being a single target troop would make your interest fade away overtime. It is a good thing that the creators have come up with new unit, which is a modified Prince. The Dark Prince moves and acts of the same mechanics of the Prince. But this time, he has a wooden shield and instead of a spear to pierce his enemies, he uses a club to deal splash damage.
If you leave him for a few seconds, he will be in a haste and charge on to the enemy. Once his attack lands, he will be able to damage any other monsters or troops around him. This attack is closely related to that of the Valkyrie attack, which blasts of enemies in a 360 degree radius. Don’t expect that to happen always though because that is just the effect of it once he had the time to charge, but once this arrives to a halt, then the area of effect is more like that of a wizard or a baby dragon. Nevertheless, the Dark Prince can punish spawners and other hordes with ease. With that being said, he is a great counter-attack against a strong push. With that being said, Minions, Goblins, and Barbarians don’t stand a chance against the powerful Dark Prince.
One strange insight is that the Dark Prince has less health points than the Prince. At first, you would think otherwise because the Dark Prince looks more heavily armored and he wields a shield as well. If enough damage is done, his shield would fall off. The Dark Prince and the Valkyrie are the only short ranged troops that do area of effect damage in the game.
As good as the Dark Prince sounds, it is not always a possibility to have one, as he is unlocked at Arena 7 or the Royal Arena, which is why you need to know how to take him out. There are several ways to defeat him and this is by placing a single target unit that has massive health points but can attack well, such as the P.E.K.K.A. Although that could be pricey, a great alternative is the knight.
