Legendary Talks: The Ice Wizard
To describe the Ice Wizard in a few words, it is simply that card that intensifies battles. If you want to play in a more tactical aspect, then you would definitely love the Ice Wizard. It can blend in nicely on to almost every deck because of its great ice blasts which could serve as an offensive or a defensive unit.
The Ice Wizard can easily reduce the speed of those feared fast attackers such as the Hog Rider and Valkyrie. Even with a mere 63 damage on Level 1 and 91 when maxed, he plays a crucial factor on to the flow of the game. As incoming units push against you, you could easily maximize his ability to slow them down as he does area damage just like his brother, the regular Wizard.
“One of the best decks used by top players.”
When used as an offensive unit, you must have a tank up front as he cannot withstand much damage inflicted to him as he has only 700 hit points on Level 1 and 1,022 HP on Level 5. A Golem, Giant, Knight, or P.E.K.K.A. would be the best tanks for the Ice Wizard. In addition to that, if you manage to perform that combo, you must then add up some attackers along with him. These could be Minions, Archers, and if you have the Princess (another Legendary Card) then that would be awesome.
Ice Wizard weaknesses
Well we can’t just discuss about the Ice Wizard’s advantages because you might face him in one of your future battles. So what are the Ice Wizard’s weaknesses?
1. Though he has a more advanced attack as he is a Legendary card, his evil brother (The Regular Wizard) is his worst nightmare. With the high damage that a Wizard can deal, he can be wiped out with ease.
2. You must also avoid those units that inflict serious damage such as the Prince as he could take down the Ice Wizard in a flash.
3. Although it is not recommended to use a Fireball or Rocket on a single target, a counter attack on to the Ice Wizard is beneficial, but of course, only use it as a last resort. As much as possible, you must aim at a heavy push to counter if you want to get most of your elixir’s worth.
“Compared to the Wizard, the Ice Wizard has a slight advantage in range as he can reach 0.5 tiles further.”
This tactical support unit is one of the diamonds in Clash Royale as it serves quite the purpose intended. With the low elixir cost of 3, you would not have a problem providing for it’s cost. However, if you plan to acquire such a card, you must reach Arena 5 or the Spell Valley.
