Legendary Talks: The Princess
Most players would easily prefer a strong Offense rather than a good Defense, which makes the Princess an all-time favorite. With her ability to shoot at multiple opponents from a distance, she works as a mighty component in one’s deck. Arrows are amplified with flames, enabling her to take down mid-level hordes with ease. The elixir cost isn’t a problem at all as she can fight for you with a mere 3 elixirs.
Definitely a great offensive-defensive unit to look forward to.
However, with every advantage comes a disadvantage as well. As this 9-cell sniper is easily loved by the many, she can be taken down quite easily too. This is due to her low hit points, as she starts off with just 216 HP on Level 1. Even on her max level, she is still a paper target since 315 HP seems to be not that big of a difference at all.
Countering the Princess
1. Drop a fireball on top of her
2. Throw your arrow skill against her
3. A goblin barrel would do
Such ways are meant to eliminate her with ease, rather than the conventional push as it would lead to a struggle, especially when she is placed well off with a tank up front.
Nevertheless, you have to be mindful of your skill usage. If you choose to kill the Princess with the use of your arrows, it might also lead to a window of opportunity for your opponent as hordes can be placed after, rendering you to struggle with such a massive push. So you always have to use your skills not just against her but along a heavy push. Having a minion horde or a skeleton army rushing at your crown towers is a scary sight you would definitely not want to experience.
In a defensive fashion, you could also utilize her skills to the fullest. As your enemy pushes forward, you can place the Princess behind the King for her to deal damage from there, of her mighty range, without losing HP. If the enemy chooses to drop a counter-attack on her with an offensive skill, then this would activate your King, thus making your base even a lot more difficult to push through.
She is one of the cheapest Legendary cards along with the miner and ice wizard but being in such classification, she is rather difficult to obtain of course. If you opt to spend gold on purchasing her, it would cost a lot and she would not yet appear unless you have already entered the Royal Arena which is Arena 7. If you would take a close look on the thumbnail on her card, she is seen shooting 3 arrows which is not the case on the real scenario as the Princess can target as much as 5 targets in one shot.
