Rare Cards: The Fireball and The Rocket
Spells might appear to be simple one-time castings but there are more into that. There are a lot of variety when it comes to spells as there are some that would aid on your push or rather termed as “buffs” or simply for support, and there are also some that would deal damage upon. As there are a lot of spells, let’s take into a close look on two of the frequently used spells in the lower arenas.
Appearing to be a small meteor that is about to crash down, you would clearly expect that there would be heavy damage to be inflicted. The fireball would be one of the first spells that you would be acquiring as a newbie. You can utilize it on defending your base as it can eliminate spawners or those units in mobs with one blast. Some may survive, but those who are of low cost elixir such as the goblins and spear goblins would easily perish. Other than using it as a defensive mechanism, you can also trade your elixir with a one time blast on your enemy’s crown towers as the fireball can hit any target on the map.
A fair trade of elixir is when you hit the crown tower along with the enemy unit walking near it. This commences mostly at the start of the match where elixir is being built up. Most players would release a giant from the bottom, to make its way while slowly waiting for the elixir to rise. As it is close to the crown tower, release your fireball to damage the both of them, as this spell deal damage on a certain area. Having a fireball on hand is quite handy, and can even help you in the toughest times, when put into instances where the enemy crown tower is at a very low health, you can shoot a fireball on to it to eliminate it and win the game.
The spell is quite similar to that of the fireball as it is also a damaging spell. You can either use it as a defensive card or an offensive one. The difference of the two lies on the damage that it inflicts, and of course the elixir cost as well. If the fireball lacks damage for you, then the rocket is the immediate solution. Having a mirror card with you would be a painful sight for your opponent. No one would literally want to have their base swarmed with rockets from time to time. With the rocket, you can just sit back and enjoy watching what it does to its victims. It is also best used on enemy summoned structures such as the x-bow, cannon, mortar, and elixir collectors. Massive pushes can easily be countered with it but this would mean an extra allowance of elixir to pay for it in return.
